Blues Scales

The basis of the blues scale seems to lie in the pentatonicism of African music cultures and the scales based on microintervals of the Arabic music culture in North Africa. There are several opinions about the structure of the blues scale, but an accepted form today is the minor pentatonic scale with a diminished fifth.
